Ah, Bait! I have always loved to fish, whether it be in a video game or whether it be in real life-- there is just something about the calm tranquility of casting your line and waiting for the inevitable.

I found this game fairly quickly after getting the Oculus Go and like Dead And Buried, this game is absolutely free although they do offer you an extra location to fish at for a small fee. I, myself, have not purchased the new location so I'm not going to attempt to review it but rather the core game itself.

A brief glimpse of the story:

You work for an aquarium and your boss has sent you to snag a legendary fish called the "Prehistoric Perch". There are several obstacles in your way but nothing too challenging and nothing that takes the fun out of the experience.

On your road to catching the Prehistoric Perch, you'll meet a few odd balls, you'll fish at fun and exciting locations, and you'll catch some of the craziest fish you'll ever see in your life. Tangerine Tang (A fish that looks like a Tangerine) and Alligator Perch (you guessed it, a fish that looks like an alligator) are two such fish.

Fishing itself takes little getting used to. You'll see silhouettes of fish in the water, you hold down the trigger of the Oculus Go controller and make a casting motion with your hands, releasing the trigger at the end of the cast. A fish will find your bait, start nibbling before fully grabbing it. You reel the fish in with the trigger button, but be careful! A little bar appears where the fish is and a meter goes from green (on the left) to red (on the right). If you don't let up when it starts going red, the fish will snap your line.

Is this the greatest game in the world? No, of course not. Is this worth downloading? Absolutely. It's free but even if it wasn't, this game would be worth adding to your library. The soothing sounds, the fluid motion of game play and the fact that you actually feel as if you are at the fishing locations make this a game that you'll be returning to again and again.
